Universal Orlando has stopped using drones for its nightly lagoon show, “CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular.”

“We have currently paused the drone component of CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular,” Universal Orlando said in a statement. “Guests can still enjoy the show nightly at Universal Studios Florida.”

The show, which debuted this summer, features projections, pyrotechnics, fountains and—before their removal—more than 600 drones.

The decision comes days after a 7-year-old boy was injured at a holiday drone show at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando on Saturday. Video shared on social media shows several drones falling from the sky during the show.

Sky Elements, a Texas-based company, was the vendor for the downtown Orlando show.

Universal isn’t the only Central Florida tourist spot taking a break from drones. In a Facebook post, Orlando World Center Marriott announced the cancellation of its holiday drone show, which was set to begin Christmas Day and run through Dec. 30.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the downtown Orlando drone incident. The agency said several drones collided before falling to the ground below. A second show scheduled for 8 p.m. was canceled, with city of Orlando officials citing “technical difficulties.”

Theme parks in Orlando and around the world have been incorporating drones into their entertainment offerings, with many using the the new technology as a replacement for fireworks.

It’s unclear when Universal will add the drones back to its lagoon show.
