Universal’s Epic Universe isn’t opening until next year, but eager fans and curious visitors alike can get a glimpse at what the completed theme park will look like inside the new preview center.
The preview center, located in CityWalk, features a detailed miniature model of the entire park, offering a look at its themed lands, attractions and more.
Epic Universe will feature five themed lands (or worlds) that can be accessed through similarly themed portals. At the front of the park will be Celestial Park, which serve as the central hub. From there, visitors will enter portals for Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
The model also features the Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Orlando’s first in-park hotel.
Visitors can download the new Epic Universe mobile app to unlock the augmented reality features of the model. The track of the Stardust Racers coaster becomes animated with color and lights. A windmill in the Dark Universe section appears to burn.
The preview center also features merchandise tied to each themed world, as well as themed photo ops.
Epic Universe is expected to open in 2025.
