Universal Orlando might open its Epic Universe theme park soon that previously expected.
A Wall Street Journal article posted Tuesday suggests that Universal plans to have the new park “fully opened” as soon as Memorial Day Weekend and that tickets could go on sale sometime this month.
In the article, WSJ cites its sources as “people familiar with the matter,” adding that Universal has not yet confirmed an opening date.
Universal executives have previously said the company planned to open the park by summer 2025.
First announced in 2019, Epic will be the fourth park in the Universal Orlando lineup, joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay water park.
Epic will include five themed lands, known as worlds, that will feature a variety of attractions, rides, shows, shops and dining. The lands include Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.
Universal will also add three new hotels: the Helios Grand Hotel, which will have its own dedicated entrance into the park; and the Stella Nova and Terra Luna resorts, both of which are expected to open early next year.
