Summer is right around the corner. And even though it’s perpetually hot in Florida, it’s even hotter in the summer months.
Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to stay cool, like visiting a water park, perhaps? Island H2O Water Park, located in Kissimmee, has revealed a lineup of events it hopes you and your family will check out when in search of something fun and “cool” to do this summer.
The park is planning family-friendly festivities that include live entertainment, movies by the pool and weekend foam parties.
Everything will kick off Memorial Day Weekend with Dive-In Movies at Live! Lagoon Wave Pool. The event, which will run every Friday from May 31 to July, will include watching a movie on the big screen at the park’s wave pool. The movies will begin at 6 p.m., and season passholders get free popcorn at each one.
Other events include Island Beats, live musical performances at the park every Saturday in June and July, and the Family Foam Parties every weekend in August.
The park is also offering a limited-time flash sale on its Splash Pass, which includes unlimited access throughout the 2024 season. The pass is priced at $59.99 (down from $109.99) until May 27.
Island H2O is one of the newer water parks on the block and has been around since 2019. The park is themed to social media and features over 20 rides, slides and other attractions and interactive experiences.
The park was recently voted one of the best outdoor water parks in the U.S. in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice poll. It was one of only two Florida water parks to make the list. The other was Aquatica Orlando.
