First look at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights menu

Mini Stay-Put S'more. (Universal Orlando)

A Stay Puft Marshmallow Man s’more, poisonous apples and pumpkin guts are just some of the themed food and drink offerings on the menu at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando.

The after-hours event begins Friday at Universal Studios Florida and will feature haunted houses inspired by franchises like “Ghostbusters,” “A Quiet Place,” “Insidious” and Universal Monsters, with a variety of snacks to match.

On Monday, Universal offered a peek at the items that it will be serving up at themed food kiosks during the event.

At the booth inspired by “A Quiet Place,” visitors will find items like Abbott’s Farm Corn Chowder and Millbrook’s Baked Beans. The Wooden Board Eclair is a chocolate-filled eclair made to look like a bloody wooden board. It also has a metallic nail in the center. Fans of the movie will understand the reference.

The menu at the Ghostbusters stand will include Slimer’s Korean Corndog, The Frozen Death Chill and the Mini Stay-Put S’more.

The Red Door, a potato and onion filled handpie; Eggs in the Further, a jalapeño brioche “egg in the hole”; and Last Key pop, a red velvet cake pop will be available at the Insidious kiosk.

Universal will also offer food items themed to its original concept houses, including Slaughter Sinema 2, Major Sweets Candy Factory, Goblin’s Feast and Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America. At Major Sweets, there will be a Poison Apple, caramel mousse will apple filling. Pumpkin Guts, butternut squash and zucchini noodle with pumpkin seeds, will be served at the Goblin’s Feast kiosk.

The event will also feature a variety of themed cocktails, including: Raining Blood, with Old Forester bourbon, broVo Spirits Lucky falernum, DeKruyper Creme de Cassis, blackberry syrup, lemon juice and smoked sea salt served in a souvenir lightbulb at the “A Quiet Place” kiosk; Veil of Shadows, with White Claw black cherry vodka, DeKruyper Creme de Cassis, blackberry syrup, pineapple juice, sour mix and black licorice candy “veil” at the “Insidious” kiosk; and Shirley Black, with Cathead Vodka Raspberry, Rothman & Winter Orchard Cherry liqueur, tart cherry syrup, lemon juice, blueberry popping boba and Sprite at the Slaughter Sinema 2 kiosk.
