Universal Orlando will share new details on Thursday about Dark Universe, one of the five themed worlds that will part of its upcoming Epic Universe theme park
The world will be inspired by Universal’s Classic Monsters. A brief description of the land on the Epic Universe webpage reads: “From the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to a shadowy landscape where monsters roam, Dark Universe is a world of myth and mystery.”
To tease the announcement, Universal sent out a new medallion to influencers and members of the media. The medallion goes with a large Chronos Universal initially sent to media for the first Epic Universe reveal.
Universal recently opened the Epic Universe Preview Center in CityWalk, which features a detailed model of the park.
So far, Universal has revealed details for three Epic Universe worlds—Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon—Isle of Berk and Super Nintendo World. After Dark Universe, Universal will have one more world to reveal: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Ministry of Magic.
Epic Universe is set to open in 2025. There will be more than 50 attractions, entertainment, shopping, and dining experiences across the park.
