Disney World to drop virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disney World is removing virtual queues from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom.

The changes will take effect Feb. 25, with both attractions using a traditional standby line. The Lightning Lane option will still be offered at both attractions.

With the virtual queue, visitors join the line using the My Disney Experience app. They have two chances each day to try to snag a spot—at 7 a.m. without being in the park and at 1 p.m. once they’ve scanned into the park.

The resort typically uses the system to manage crowds for new attractions. It has been used for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has used virtual queue since it opened last summer, while the system has been in place for Cosmic Rewind since 2022.

Most recently, Disney dropped virtual for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom last September.

With the move, Disney World will not have any attractions using virtual queue for the first time in years.
