The Hall of Presidents at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has closed for refurbishment.
The closure coincided with President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration day on Jan. 20. The last time the attraction closed for refurbishment was in January 2021 to add an animatronic figure of Joe Biden.
Trump, who returns to the White House for a second term, already has a robot figure represented in the attraction.
The Hall of Presidents opened at Magic in 1971. It features a video about the presidency as well as animatronic figures of every U.S president. In the 1990s, the format of the attraction was changed to include a “speaking” part for the sitting president.
Disney has not said what changes will be made to the attraction during the refurbishment.
The Hall of Presidents is expected to reopen “later in 2025,” according to the Disney World website.
