Disney to reopen Blizzard Beach, close Typhoon Lagoon again

Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will reopen Nov. 4, as Disney World closes Typhoon Lagoon, its other water park, for refurbishment.

Following the pandemic closures in 2020, the two water parks have alternated schedules, with only one open at a time.

It’s unclear if Disney plans to eventually have both parks open at the same time during a season.

Blizzard Beach is themed to a ski resort with chairlifts and “snow”-capped mountains. Attractions include Summit Plummet, Snow Stormers, Slush Gusher and Toboggan Racers.

Disney has also announced the return of the Water Park Seasonal Pass that includes unlimited admission to one of the parks through May 23, 2025. The pass costs $79 per person.
