Disney Destiny cruise ship to feature Cruella, Haunted Mansion bars

Disney Cruise Line has revealed details about the more villainous experiences on the Disney Destiny cruise ship.

The heroes and villains-themed ship will feature bars inspired by Cruella de Vil from “101 Dalmatians,” Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.

A piano bar dubbed De Vil’s will an adult-exclusive space with Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetics. The lounge will feature the villain’s signature color scheme of red, black and white. Martinis, cocktails and wines will be served.

Cask and Cannon will be inspired by scenes from different Pirates of the Caribbean attractions, and it will be decorated with “acquired treasures.”

Disney Destiny will get its own Haunted Mansion bar featuring elements inspired by the park attraction. A similar bar will debut on the Disney Treasure later this year.

The new ship will get a villainous storyline for its AquaMouse water attraction. The animated short, “Sing a Silly Song,” will feature Mickey and Minnie faces some of Disney’s “most fearsome villains” such as the Queen of Hearts, Scar and Chernabog from “Fantasia.”

“We want our guests to have fun with the unique theme of this ship, and we are having a blast creating spaces and entertainment experiences that pay tribute to the villains, anti-heroes and mischief makers who have captivated Disney film and theme park audiences for generations” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager for Disney Cruise Line in a news release.

Villain characters such as Maleficent, Hades and Captain Hook will also appear throughout the ship in shows and meet-and-greets and other experiences.

The details were part of a three-day reveal event. Disney previously shared details about the hero-inspired experiences coming to the ship, including a restaurant inspired by “The Lion King” and a sweet shop themed to “The Incredibles.”

Disney Destiny, one of the Wish-class ships, is expected to debut in 2025 for sailings out of Port Everglades.
