Disney Cruise Line will introduce a smaller design for three of its future cruise ships.

In August, Disney announced plans to expand its fleet to 13 with the addition of four new ships. On Friday, the company shared more details about the next wave of vessels.

The new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031. The first will be another ship in its Wish class, joining the recent Treasure and the upcoming Destiny. It will be powered by liquified natural gas, just like the other ships in its class, and weigh about 144,000 gross tons.

After the new Wish-class ship, Disney will add three small ships that will part of a new, yet-to-be-named class. The new ships—set to be delivered in 2029, 2030 and 2031—will each have a capacity of 3,000 passengers. Each ship will weigh about 100,000 gross tons, making them larger than Disney’s Magic and Wonder ships (84,000 gross tons) but smaller than Disney’s Dream and Fantasy (129,00 gross tons) and the newest Wish-class ships (144,000).

The smaller ships will be more energy efficient and capable of support multiple green fuel options. They will also be equipped with a battery system and be able to use shore power to reduce the use of fuel when at port.

“As we expand our fleet, it is important that we continue to provide a variety of experiences for our guests,” said Thomas Mazloum, president of the New Experiences Portfolio & Disney Signature Experiences, in a release. “Families enjoy the diversity of vacations we offer, from our classic vessels to our Wish-class ships. They also expect to explore a broad range of destinations, including those that prefer to host smaller ships.”

Disney Cruise Line will also debut a new Wish-class ship as part of a partnership with Oriental Land Co. for sailings in and out of Tokyo, Japan. That ship is expected to arrive in 2029.

Later this year, Disney debut two new ships: the Destiny, which will sail out of Port Everglades, and the Disney Adventure (formerly the Global Dream), which will sail out of Singapore.
