Disney Treasure, the newest cruise ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet, recently marked an important milestone.

Germany-based shipbuilder Meyer Werft delivered the ship to Disney at a ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands on Thursday. With the ceremony, Disney officially took ownership of the ship, which is set to begin sailings this December.

The delivery was earlier than what was contractually agreed to, according to Meyer Werft.

“We are very happy to hand over the Disney Treasure to Disney Cruise Line today,” Meyer Werft CEO Bernd Eikens said. “She is the newest milestone in our longstanding partnership, and everyone at Meyer Werft has put a lot of effort and passion into Disney Treasure.”

Disney Treasure, the second of Disney’s Wish-class of ships, will feature many new offerings, including a “Coco”-inspired dining experience, a Broadway-style production of “Moana” and the cruise line’s first-ever Haunted Mansion bar.

The ship will sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, for its maiden voyage on Dec. 21.
