Disney Cruise Line has revealed more details about the new Disney Destiny ship debuting in late 2025.
The 4,000-passenger ship will set sail on its maiden voyage in November 2025, and it will feature experiences that tie into a heroes and villains theme.
The third ship in the cruise line’s Wish class, Disney Destiny will be the first one to feature a restaurant inspired by “The Lion King.” Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King will feature live musicians and storytellers performing a mix of songs from the film, including a mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared.”
“The savanna-inspired venue will bring unique depictions of animals and nature to life through lighting and special effects, while the window-lined back wall will transform from stunning sunrise to enchanting sunsets through the meal,” Disney said in a news release.
It will join the previously announced Worlds of Marvel restaurant, which will be updated for the Disney Destiny with a “Guardians of the Galaxy” theme.
The ship will also feature Edna A La Mode Sweets, a dessert shop inspired by the fashion designer from “The Incredibles” films. Treats like homemade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and more will be served. Around the shop, visitors will find costume models and sculptures of Edna and Jack-Jack.
There will also be two walk-up cafes just off the Grand Hall—Cafe Megara, inspired by the character from “Hercules” and Cafe Merida, inspired by the heroine from “Brave.”
Disney also shared details about the ship’s staterooms. Similar to sibling ships Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, the Disney Destiny will feature 1,250 staterooms.
The rooms will feature decor and artwork depicting different Disney stories, from “Fantasia” and “The Incredibles” to “Hercules” for the Hero Suites.
Disney Destiny will call Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale its home port. It will be the eighth ship in Disney’s fleet.
