Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced a new grand opening date for its new family-friendly roller coaster: Phoenix Rising.
The suspended coaster, originally set to debut July 14, will now officially open to the public on July 21. Pass member previews will begin July 17.
Phoenix Rising is located in the Pantopia area of the park. It will be the park’s first coaster to feature onboard audio with an original soundtrack playing during the ride.
The coaster will take riders across 1,831 feet of track, reaching speeds of up to 44 mph. The minimum height requirement will be 42 inches.
Phoenix Rising will be Busch Gardens’ 10th coaster.
