Disney World has welcomed two new additions to its animal kingdom.

A zebra foal and an eland calf were born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge earlier this month.

The female Hartmann’s mountain zebra was born on June 13 and weighed about 100 pounds, according to an Instagram post by Dr. Mark Penning, vice president of Animals, Science and Environment for Disney Parks.

Animal Kingdom Lodge also welcomed another baby animal this month, an eland, which is a large species of antelope found in Africa. The female calf was born to first-time mom Cleo.

Disney says the recent births highlight its commitment to animal care and the protection of these animals.

The zebra foal recently made her debut on the savanna, joining the herd at the resort. The baby eland will join the savanna soon. For now, she and her mother are bonding backstage.
