Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced a change in leadership. The theme park has tapped Jeff Davis, former president of SeaWorld San Antonio, as the new president of Busch Gardens and Adventure Island.

“We are making extensive investments in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to make the park the best it’s ever been,” United Parks & Resorts chief parks operations officer Kyle Miller said in a statement. “We’re excited to have Jeff in the leadership role as one of our most seasoned executives.”

Davis has more than 30 years of experience in the theme park industry. He previously held leadership roles at Sesame Place Philadelphia Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to lead the team at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as we make significant investments in the park to improve the infrastructure, operations and overall park experience for our guests,” Davis said in a statement.

Busch Gardens is getting ready to open Wild Oasis, —an interactive, kid-friendly land that will feature attractions and a new animal habitat—this spring.

“There are a lot of exciting things happening at Busch Gardens Tampa right now—and even more to come,” Davis said.
