Universal Studios Hollywood will debut a new after-hours event next spring that features experiences inspired by popular franchises like “Back to the Future” and “Star Trek.”

Universal Fan Fest Nights—which will be held select nights—will be dedicated to sci-fi, fantasy, gaming and anime, according to Universal. It will feature what the park describes as “immersive activations” as well as live entertainment, themed food and drinks, exclusive merchandise and cosplay.

The event’s experiences will be tied to different franchises, including “Star Trek,” “Back to the Future” and Dungeons & Dragons, with more to be announced “soon.”

Fan Fest Nights comes from the same team behind Universal’s wildly popular Halloween Horror Nights event. So maybe something similar but less emphasis on the scary.

“For decades, Universal Studios Hollywood has been a leader in creating and executing innovative special events that are consistent with our brand,” said Scott Strobl, executive vice president and general manager of Universal Studios Hollywood. “From our esteemed Halloween Horror Nights even to this all-new Universal Fan Fest Nights experience, we are thrilled about who this breakthrough program will continue to elevate the guest experience in an all-new way.”

Universal will release more details about Fan Fest nights, including dates and prices, at a later date.
